Two men arrested for robbery first degree

Auburn, Ala. - On April 18, 2024, Auburn Police arrested Diego Soza, age 27, and Luis Soza, age 30, both residing in Auburn, AL, on felony warrants charging each with robbery first degree.

The arrests stem from Auburn Police responding to a robbery call during the evening hours of April 17, 2024. Officers met with a victim who reported being assaulted by two acquaintances near the 300 block of Webster Road. During the assault, the victim was threatened with a knife, and the suspects took property from the victim.

Responding officers determined that the suspects fled to a nearby residence. Auburn Police Department detectives responded and executed a search warrant at the residence. Diego Soza and Luis Soza were located inside and detained.

D. Soza and L. Soza were identified as the suspects that robbed the victim, and after further investigation, both were charged with robbery first degree. D. Soza and L. Soza were transported to the Lee County Jail and held without bond pending further judicial review.
